BRUNCH!!
I want to clarify that this review is only for their brunch menu which for now is once a month. Follow La Vieja Pizza & Beer to get notified when will be the next Sunday brunch.
We were more than lucky to find them on IG the day before their Sunday brunch and between laughs (because of their IG stories) we decided to give it a try.
We arrived around 1pm (a bit late since they closed at 2pm). Starting with the cozy establishment, detailed decoration and unique theme, we felt right at home. The staff was completely accommodating, welcoming us, explaining the menu (since each plate has a unique name matching the whole "La Vieja" theme) and they made sure we were enjoying everything.
Coffee, coffee, coffee life fuel! We ordered a 12oz double shot latte and we got a beautiful cup with a tasty strong coffee! Kudos to the barista!
Then, a fruit salad with a touch of honey and coconut flakes that made the perfect sweet mix to the blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, bananas and granola.
Now lets get serious, we ordered "Cachetes de Juana" with provolone cheese and over easy eggs, and "Bollo Montado" with ham and over easy eggs. We paired it with Beermosa of tamarindo and I was skeptic with the beermosa but in the end it surprised me too and I loved it.
To close, and almost try everything on the menu we ordered a Creme Brulee Cheesecake.
Well, La Vieja Pizza & Beer definitely is a place to visit, we will be back for sure to try out the different beer offers and the pizza.
